AgroLiquid wanted to rebrand the technology behind their products under the name NUTRIQ, emphasizing its three key pillars: Availability, Performance, and Synergy. To achieve this, they needed two distinct products tailored to two very different audiences:
Live-action videos with motion graphic overlays to appeal to traditional farmers who value seeing real crops and machinery.
Fully animated graphical explainers to capture the attention of younger farmers drawn to fresh, modern visuals.
Fully Animated Explainers
For the animated videos, we went all-in on graphical storytelling to appeal to the younger farming audience. My business partner, Courtney, created stunning illustrations that gave these explainers a fresh, modern look. With her incredible art as the foundation, I animated the scenes, bringing NUTRIQ’s pillars to life.
At one point, we managed over 6,000 layers in a single After Effects composition. Keeping everything organized and running smoothly was a challenge, but the results were worth it. The animations were dynamic, clear, and delivered the right message to a new generation of farmers.
In 2023, my friend Courtney and I started an animation studio - Hyperfocus Motion. So when AgroLiquid, a premiere supplier of fertilizers across the world, asked if we had interested in creating content to hype their Nutriq rebrand, we couldn’t say YES! fast enough.
Live-Action Videos
For the live-action videos, we collaborated with AgroLiquid to write three scripts that clearly communicated the NUTRIQ pillars. Since the timing and budget didn’t allow for custom filming, we sourced high-quality stock footage. But finding the right assets was no easy task—we had to ensure every tractor, sprayer, and crop aligned with AgroLiquid’s actual market.
Thanks to my experience growing up on a farm and working with some of the best farmers in the world, this step was second nature. We paired this footage with motion graphic overlays to illustrate key points, ensuring the visuals were both engaging and informative.
The Results
Both sets of videos were a hit with AgroLiquid and their target audiences. The live-action videos with motion graphics resonated with traditional farmers, while the fully animated explainers captured the attention of a younger, tech-savvy crowd.
The success of this project also opened the door for AgroLiquid’s next challenge: demonstrating how their premium-priced products ultimately save farmers money by requiring less product. Listening to their needs, I pitched a gamified solution to help farmers interact with the data themselves. I then partnered with Cream Studio as a consultant to help bring the project to life. This project showcased the power of blending creative solutions with deep industry knowledge. By delivering two distinct products tailored to different audiences, we helped AgroLiquid connect with farmers of all generations and communicate the value of NUTRIQ effectively.
